Sex wasn't "given" (there is no "GOD". If you are a believer, give it up and grow up!)
Anyway, sex is a mechanism that evolved for reproduction, to continue a species. Part of that evolution is that it is pleasurable. Otherwise, why bother? BTW, despite stupid religious dogmas, there are quite a few women who enjoy sex. Horrors! Go figure.
