What do you say about negative inflation index (deflation) in India despite threefold increase in pr
Prices of essential commodities in India has gone up from Rs 20/kg to Rs 70/kg but inflation rate is being shown in negative. Why are such commodities that are essential for survival of common men kept out for calculation of such an important index?

Because politicians are lying, power hungry weasels. It's the same in the U.S. Government manipulates the statistics and what is included in the indexes in their attempt to bamboozle you. It works, since most voters are idiots, and they keep electing the same manipulative scum year after year.
