You could get some etching solution and using stencils carefully etch a design around the edge of the mirror. The design would be uniquely your and a talking point in your dining room. Another option would be to make a collage around the edge of the mirror in a theme fitting your dining room, perhaps using sand and shells for a beach theme or dried or silk flowers. You can also glue glass mosiac tiles around the edges to create a stylish and original piece.

Hi,

This is Avni Kapadia and I am from India. I read your question and thought of helping you with a few suggestions.

Since you havnt mentioned the dimensions of your mirror and the wall you want to put it up on, I assume that the mirror fits ur wall in the center, leaving approximately 450mm on either sides.

In a scenario like this, I would suggest that you frame the mirror such that the frame acts as the feature and you can put it up in the center of the wall, which you may paint in probably a deep chrome or a burnt sienna or even a metallic copper would look interesting.

Another option is that you can again place the mirror in the center and get trendy glass cabinets made for the space on either sides of the mirror. These cabinets can act as storage for your crockery.

And lastly, if you are okay with getting your mirror cut into parts and placing them in a random order on the wall so as to highlight the wall as a whole, making it a feature in itself, that would also add to the aesthetics of the room.

Hope the above suggestions help you.

If you have any furthur queries, do get back to me. It would be nice to hear from you.

Regards,

Avni Kapadia.
