No, I don't. As well as HubPages, there is Blogger, Wizzley, Squidoo, making your own blog using Wordpress software, plus others... Hubpages is good, though.

If you're looking for an alternative for a job, writing for the suggestions that Paul Goodman has suggested won't make you super rich unless you have a great deal of quality. But I have to say HubPages is my favourite for its simplicity and community - but as many have said before me from all around the internet, they don't write for cash. They write it for funm as do I ^^

No -- there are other sites to make money. I do not, however, find the sense of community one finds on HubPages nor the interest in individual writers shown by HubPages staff on other sites. Those things are important to me, personally, so I devote all my time to HubPages rather than spreading myself thin over several sites. I've found my fellow Hubbers feedback and input on my writing invaluable and I've not experienced that on other sites.

Answer: Hubpages is not the only one. There are many other website where you could make money online. But among them Hubpages is the best platform. It's not true that you can not make money from other revenue sharing site, you can make money from other revenue sharing site if you work hard. But you can make MORE money from Hubpages compare to other website. The most important thing is you effort and skill.

Diversity works best when it comes to making money online, especially as a writer.

I have written for several sites, but keep coming back to Hubpages. I made quite a bit on demandstudios, but now they have made it more difficult. Also there are ezinearticles, textbroker, infobarrel, and others which you can write for, but it is best to pick one and work hard rather than trying to keep up with several sites.

If you're looking to be paid well for the content you generate then you can't really look to Hubpages as your focus. They take a large cut right off the top. You could take the same content and put it on your own website, promote it, and reap all the rewards.

Of course...that requires a bit more time, skill, and responsibility. With Hubpages, you just write and post.

I guess it's like running any business. If you're an engineer you'll probably be able to make more money setting up your own business and getting engineering work but there's a lot that goes into it to make that actually happen outside of doing "engineering stuff". Of course, if you worked FOR the company, you'd be doing "engineering stuff" but because the company makes money off of the work you do for them, you end up making less.
