Loading... What is considered a good amount of traffic per day for one hub?
I'm not talking extremes here. I know that some people get thousands of views per day and make a living off hubpages. I'm just wondering what would be considered a reasonably average to good number of views to look for in just one hub alone.

There's no real answer for this, as different writers and topics all perform differently, and what might feel good to one author might be deemed poor by another.
Here's an overview of the page views for the site as a whole that might help you decide what's good from your own perspective.

Yes, there are hubbers who get thousands of views per day on a hub. How amazing is that? Sadly, I'm not one of them.... yet. I can dream, can't I? Most of my hubs have 1-9 views a day, and I get excited when I see double digit views.
It's different from hub to hub. I write on different topics. Today, out of 105 hubs, 53 hubs have 1-9 views, and 16 hubs don't have any views at all.
For me, it would be ideal if half of my hubs would at least have 10 views per day.

Another thing to consider about the number of traffic to our hub is: Where did the traffic come from? Is it from the within the hubpages community or from the SERP?
I have a hub that had a lot of traffic one day but I didn't earn any because all my visitors came from within the community.
Just giving you an idea: I have one blog site that has 2,000 to 3,000 views a day and can it gives me 10 to 15 bucks a day from adsense. I cannot live on that so I built a lot more, though not all of them earn the same amount but they help each other to give me reasonable revenue for the day
The idea is the same with our hubs we need lots of traffic and lots of quality hubs. But we still don't know how many hubs to make and how much we can earn because it depends on the quality and not the quantity. We will know it after we will see the result.

My best has been 138 in a day. My average is about 20 to 40.

I haven't been on hubpages for too long, but i think that writing numerous hubs on the same subject and linking them would bring more traffic than writing individual hubs, since that way if a reader stumbles upon one of them through google or bing or something, they are likely to read them all.

This depends on how long you have been on the hubpages and how much effort you have put into your hubs. If you have not been on the hubpages long and do not yet have many hubs, then just a few a day is considered good. I've been on for only a few weeks, and my hubs are not getting that many views yet, but I'm working on it. I've been getting maybe 5 a day on my best hubs, if even that, but since I started backlinking some have really shot up a lot more.
