Disney World, hands down, because you can often pick packages that essentially make the vacation all inclusive. Last year my boyfriend and I went to Disney World for a week for less than $2000, meals included. We also drive which eliminates the expense and hassle of flying.

Disney World by far. It's a real resort...it's own city essentially. Epcot Center and more there. I hear it's wonderful.

The two don't really compare. Disney World has 4 theme parks plus 2 water parks. In addition, there are the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney areas, golf, ESPN, and the Richard Petty Driving Experience, all the resorts ... Oh my! Disney Land is more like Magic Kingdom located in a city. If we were in CA for some other reason, I would visit DL, but I don't think it is worth a special trip. We have been to WDW 5 times for 7-8 days each time with our kids and still have more to see and do.
