Loading... Were Whitney Houston's handlers (significant others) sleeping on the job when she overdosed?
It has been suggested by various media houses that those close to her could have done something to stop her from slipping back to drug use (and eventually death). I argue that nothing could be further from the truth. Handling an Alcoholic/Addict is not that simple. Intervention can only take place if the dependent herself is willing to co-operate. Whitney was a strong willed person and handling her might not have been quite that simple. I can only pray that the loved ones of Whitney find it in themselves to forgive themselves for a burden that was too heavy for them to carry.

Handlers?! Are you joking? If she was a strong willed person as you say, she should have stuck to the goal of stopping IF she had known what was good for her. Plenty of people overdose every year and they have no one to blame but themselves. THEY are responsible for their lives, and no one else is.
