the one where you believe in yourself and others. if we all did this, the world would be a lot better place.
Catherine Kane says
I believe that faith is not a "one size fits all" situation and different people have different spiritual needs.
At that point, I believe the best religion in the world is the one that best meets the spiritual needs of the individual. A person that needs more structure in their faith would be happier in something like Catholicism and stressed by something like Unitarianism, and the person who needs a faith with more personal sartori might need exactly the opposite
And, by the by, not everybody believes in one God, or one Goddess for that matter; and those paths to Spirit are not wrong because they're different from our own...

Although I am a devout Christian (I believe that Jesus is The Son of God -- I believe that both The Immaculate Conception and The Holy Resurrection actually happened -- and I believe that Jesus died on The Cross for everyone's sins), I do not believe that any one religion is better than any of the others.
In fact, I do not believe in religion. In my opinion, religion is a wedge between God and me.
Given that you describe yourself as a Christian, the fact that you say you do not believe in religion is confusing

When we refer to religion in the context of being a path to God, it is really a false thing. There is no such thing as a religion that can lead to God. Whatever man formulated in this life, cannot lead to immortal life.
A false thing can never lead you to the the truth. To understand this is rather simple. Have you awakened to God from any religion? The Christ was not a Christian and the Buddha was not a Buddhist.
And yet, man attempts to awaken spiritually through a religion in which it has never brought realization to anyone. No spiritual awakening and no peace in the world and yet we as human beings still cling to our particular religion. How sad.

This is my personal religion. I have studied many, but generally speaking, I use the following in my daily life.
The Rose Colored view of God and love/ beautiful communication of the Sufis
The detachment of desire from Buddhism (this is a hard one)
The realistic advice of Judaism (Old Testament)
The Hope and forgiveness of Christianity (New Testament)
I know this isn't really and answer, but I wanted to share:-)

How about the one that leads you to eternal life.

Islam is a religion which guides its followers in every aspect of their lives. It is a way of life.
Islam is the modern or latest version of the message sent by God through Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus.
Islam was sent to mankind through Prophet Muhammad. Islam is "modern" in the sense that it has come to complement the teachings which were introduced through Moses and Jesus.
Islam is a religion which seeks to give a meaningful purpose to our life on this earth. It seeks to guide us in fulfilling that purpose by creating harmony between ourselves, our Creator and fellow human beings.
What you will read below are some of the basic features of Islam.
Islam is a monotheistic religion. It teaches that there is only one God who is the origin and creator of the universe. This is the foundation of Islam, and is reflected in the famous sentence which says that, "There is no god but Allah." (Allah is the Arabic name of God.)
The belief in God relates us to our origin and guides us throughout our life. The belief in one God shows that man should not worship any material thing or person in this universe.
By teaching that there is only One God for all humans, Islam promotes the sense of brotherhood and equality in human society--all are equally related to God in the same way. The Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, says:
He (God) is One, God is Eternal;
He has neither begotten,
nor has He been begotten;
and there is no one equal to Him.

Good question! The "best" religion is no religion at all, but rather a personal relationship with the son of God, Jesus Christ that you can only have through Bible study and guidance of the Holy Spirit. No other religious leader made the claims that Jesus made and no other book comes close to the Word of God, the Holy Bible. The Bible is the written Word of God. It has never been disproven. It has survived banning and burning. It offers an accurate historical account of ancient times, fulfilled prophecy and a promise of everlasting life in heaven through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Everything else is man-made religious doctrine.

true, all know God but in there own way for God is all and personal or groups and when you realize that religion is of man. it can make your relationship with God that much better
Nicholas Ikumi says
There is no best religion in the world,I think religion only makes us better people because we accept certain terms about that particular religion and by doing so we fit into the groups or group that follow that religion.I think that's the reason people who belong to different religions act and think differently. To some extent religion is makes a person a hypocrite because we tend to learn to judge others by standards set among members within the religion, though we know that the world was created by one universal God.

I know i'll probably get a lot of negatives for this ... but you asked for my opinion.
I believe Islam is the best religion of all.
I'd imagine this means that Islam is the best religion for your spiritual needs
yes ... it's a way of life ... so it caters for both spiritual and worldly needs.
well that's cool, but what's great for you wouldn't really work for me at all.
So that's the greatest religion in the world for you- and it's also great that there are lot of different spiritual paths so we can all find our greatest :)
i personally believe its the best for everyone, but at the same time not for everyone.
I like unity therefore i'm not a fan of all the paths but i do respect all of them. If your path makes you a better/polished human being then great.
kinda how I feel, except I don't think there's one best path for everyone.
For instance, some people need more certainty than I do, and my faith would be more stressful than comforting to them
It gets a bit tricky here, but i think when it comes to God; the All Knowing. He knows exactly what a person needs, therefore they all get what they need one way or another, to be content.

Abstention is the only sane, and I mean SANE religion one should partake in and believe in.
I'll say it one more time:
All the sciences, from grade school to higher learning institutions around the planet require, no, demand us to show proof of any hypothesis or conclution we may arrive at.
All that is, except religious beliefs. Why do you suppose that is?
I know why, and so do you if you just simply put aside your adolescent mind conditioning and think for yourselves for a change.
Why have none of the thousand or so called gods we've conjured up in the last 50,000 years, ever come down (or up) to the surface and said: "Hey baby, I'm your god. Just so you believe me, watch me turn that mountain into a bannanna split."
Jesus has been gone for well over 2000 years now and half the remarkably gullable world still waits for his return. The guy would have had to be dumb as a box of rocks to think he could get away with that. Then again, we're still waiting arent we?
Probably close to a million of us die every year from natural disasters none of us has any control over or responcibility for yet you people still walk around all day claiming "god loves me" and expounding on how merciful god is.
I'm I crazy or what? Is common sense a thing of the past? Is the word "proof" a fallacy? Should I take the word "blind" of of the phrase "blind faith?" Are you all that indoctranated and so scared you will believe in damn near anything?
Fine, believe in what ever you wish, but while your at it keep in mind that as far back as our history records, we personally have killed more of each other defending our flat out stupid religious beliefs then all the natural disasters conbined and that if we continue this insanity for just a little while longer, our brand new weapons of mass distruction will destroy us all. In a matter of a few days I might add.
Small pox has no gods to answer too and neclear fusion will vaporize all your houses of worship no matter how spectacular, oh, say...in a matter of a second or two.
Keep up the good work guys, it won't be long...
Think you're missing the point.
If you need proof, it isn't faith. It's in the job description...
That IS my point Catherine. The word faith in itself is a meaningless word similar to hope and wishing. No word can mean anything unless it can be explained within reason and faith can't.
