There are many sites about that offer a variety of home based jobs that are "real". They're not very well paid as it's a pretty competitive industry, but they do exist.

Try searching for freelance work. Freelance seems to bring up more credible results than other related terms on the whole.

Yes there are. Some of which you can invent yourself. For instance can you do resumes? Do desktop publishing?

There are soooo many work at home jobs that are not scams! I am really disappointed to find that the ratio for scams to work at home jobs is 59:1.
