How does a vote up or down to one's answers affect author score (hubber score)?

Yes I believe it does help a little.If you look at some of the authors with 100 author scoes they answer allot of questions
You can vote each answer up or down to show your support or disapproval. You cannot flag an answer, but if an answer receives enough down votes compared to up votes, then it will become hidden.
