So does anyone have a logical reason why Chevrolet would build automobiles with sealed transmissions

I am happy to say, my husband was able to replace the transmission fluid anyway--without the dealer being involved. He is a mechanic by trade! It was simply an annoyance to him!

They don't want you messing with stuff you don't anything about or they are so darn possessive, I guess. Another reason might be it's got synthetic ATF and this transmission lube will last a long time.

The reason that automobile manufacturors build cars with sealed transmissins is so you have to go to your main dealer for servicing.
You will find that modern cars need alot of specialist tools to carry out even simple maintainance jobs.(which only the main dealers have).
i guess the answer is so you spend your money with them, instead of doing any work yourself. And if you tamper with the car they can tell and will void any warranty.
