Two very good reasons - The pace of life was slower, less hectic, before cars became so popular. And just think of how fresh the air would smell without all the pollution caused by car exhausts if we reverted back to the days of the horse drawn carriage (no need for manure all over the roads, there are special nappies for that believe it or not).
What an image, pulling up at the airport on a pony and trap with wheely suitcases in the back, or arriving on horseback for a meeting wearing a suit and clutching a briefcase to your bosom :D

your horse gives unconditional love and is a reflection of your personality once you have bonded. cars only take you to and from work and other places.
