I'd say pure water is always the best, followed by water with a hint of fruit flavor (and nothing else - particularly aspartame, which is often in flavored water.
Sparkling water unflavored or with a hint of fruit (and nothing else) is also a good choice.
Iced tea is good, although a lot of ice tea (not green or herbal) has caffeine. Making it not too strong and adding lots of ice can reduce the caffeine in black tea.
Green tea and many herbal teas, served cold, can make a good drink. Cold ginger tea with lemon makes a nice tea.
Fruit juices, vegetable juices, and mixtures of both are good as far as offering nutrition goes; but fruit juices have a lot of sugar, and vegetable juices usually have a lot of salt (unless otherwise noted on the label). Turning these into a "cocktail" by adding water can reduce the sugar and salt (but also the nutritional value). (How natural fruit or vegetable juices are depends on the brand, so read the labels. Some are completely natural. Some are far from it.)

How about water -- H20? Fruit juice. Those drinking a lot -- daily -- "big gulps" -- whatever -- of those chemical witches' brews called soft drinks are, frankly, idiots. The food chemistry industry has turned something that was years ago merely not so good for you then, into poison nowadays.
You have to be careful even of so-called juice. Look at the fricking lists of ingredients. The "food chemists" can't leave ANYTHING alone.
