Why is my rabbit always on the top floor of his cage?
I just got my rabbit, Wally, and he seems to always be on the top floor of his cage. We got his cage when we adopted Wally, and it has 2 floors to it. We call it his Rabbit Condo! :) But he hasn't been in the bottom at all, which has all the bedding. The top doesn't have any bedding, just his food, water, and sometimes vegetables. Please Help!

It may be that he wants to be next to his food. Have you tried putting him down on the lower level. Some rabbits may not like bedding and prefer to have a clean space to mess. I have a buck that prefers a box to the floor of his cage. He never messes in the box, and it is easier on his feet. Can you post a picture of his cage. :)

Maybe you should try putting his food, water and veg at the bottom of the cage to try and lure him down it. Or maybe he just feels safer on the second floor and he might go down to the bottom floor when he is ready x
