I personally think that this world is going down hill rapidly, does anyone agree?
credit crunch, young mum's, war, obesity, drug's, drink, the fact that they have only just decided that we should 'Go Green'.... i'm all for this recycling business, and i'm really into it, but why has it taken the goverment so long to realise that this world is not going to last with the way some issue's are going- and if it does last it won't be a good thing for anyone, there are still starving children and adults in some parts of this world, charities are gaining more and more money each year , so why does it seem that it isn't being used for anything?

I feel your "pain". Yet, depending on whom you ask the question is relative. I am sure if you asked Ted Turner or Bill Gates this question they would tell you things are alright. On the other hand if you go to Nigeria and ask a local the same question you will get a very different answer. "The truth is rarely pure and never simple."

I totally agree with your assesment. Not only are the world finances in a shamble, so is the family. The family nucleus of a mom and dad raising the children to be responsible and productive adults has eroded as well. This in my opinion is where stuff like this starts, in the family when you are growing up. The world has gotten so greedy and compassion has about disappeared. Single parents have it the worst. They have to do everything on their own. The government has eroded due to greed because the officials just want a fatter pay check and to heck with legislation that will get the country back on track. Corruption has run rampant and the 'little people' like the average joe citizen cannot do a darn thing to try and change what it is they do not like or agree with. Big businsess has you beat before you even start.

Nope, the world's going exactly where it should. At this rate, humans will have wiped themselves off the map pretty soon and in a couple hundred years, the rest of the earth can get on with business as usual.
If you had said "I personally think that the human race is going down hill rapidly, does anyone agree?" I may have sided with your position.

Probably because people in general tend to be so wrapped up in themselves they don't think about the consequences of their actions. The need in the US for every individual to have a car has made the country dependent on oil and polluted the planet. And in the emerging economies, the desire to own what ever we can get our hands on, continues to drive all the same issues you bring up.
Young mum's? It goes beyond that to families of 12, 15, 20, that drive the population explosion, and will eventually overtake the worlds ability to provide for us. But how do you tell someone they should limit the number of kids they have? Again, they don't look at long-term consequences.
My question to you, with all respect, What will you do about it?

The world will last....it's the people in it who won't. We(that is us humans) have been on a one-way journey to extiction since the beginning of the industrial revolution in the late 1800's. The planet is fed-up with our excesses and is telling us so through climate change.
My bet is we won't listen and perhaps 100 years from now our population will start to decline through natural disasters, wars and disease. Not a bright outlook, but try telling that to the energy savages of the world. But please, whatever you do, DON'T try to claim some weird religious significance to what will happen. The future is ours to wreck and we can do that without any whacko predictions from any fundamentalist no-brainers.

The world as we know it now does have a lot of negative issues. These are changing times and rapidly looking like we are entering into what the Bible calls the last days. If you look at Prophesy and Revelation you will see a lot of similarities. I am not saying the Antichrist has taken his place as leader of this world yet, but the time is soon! The world will enter into chaos, and then he will take place as the head of all Nations and bring about world peace for a time. You think things are bad now, wait until world peace ends! I do not know for sure this will happen in my lifetime, but I Thank God that I am believer in Jesus Christ and will be with Him and the Father in the end no matter what happens!
here today and gone tomorrow
Depends on many things actually. However, in order to answer the question with reality, then all we have to do is check out the government - really - they don't care. BUT, for those who believe in the return... keep reading →

By the term 'This World', I presume you mean this 'age' or this world's system that is going down hill rapidly and of course you are right.
The thing is, it has been going down hill ever since the Garden of Eden and the birth of Cain for it is Cain's world in which we live. Cain's descendants rule this world, not Adam's descendants.
As for recycling you need to understand that recycling causes more pollution than making things from new.
The only constructive thing man can do is plant more trees, for trees are more than capable of dealing with man's pollution. Trees love carbon - period!!
In the end though the only answer to man's problems is the return to this earth of the Lord Jesus Christ, which won't be long now, for we are now in the closing stages of Cain's (the Devil's) age.
