First grab a soft, wash rag, a mild soap, and a pan of lukewarm water. Test water with inside of wrist, this way you will know if it is to hot. Then place baby on a towel on a safe surface. Use very little soap, as babies aren't that dirty to begin with. And begin at the head and gently cleanse, from top to bottom (skip the umbilical cord, do not get this wet) ending with private areas last preferably butt to vagina or penis. Making sure that you dry off baby after each area you cleanse. So baby does not get chilled. Rub with lotion, wrap with love. good luck!
