I always try to match my shoe colour to my handbag colour. I don't like wearing anything which I can't comfortably walk in all day so if it's high-heels they must feel stable to walk in and not rub on my heel or toes (which can cause blisters). And I make sure leather shoes are polished, and that I have the appropriate footwear for where I am going (ie: high-heels aren't appropriate on the Golf Course).
