what is your personal opinion on same sex marriage?

Even though we live in a free country and i personally respect everyones point of view, i have to disagree with this one. I believe that marriage was meant to be between a man and woman. Although thats only my opinion, I would love to hear from others. Like I've said this is my opinion and i don't mean to offend anyone.!!! But i think it's a great topic to talk about! so go ahead and take time to answer the ? ;)

I think you as a person have the right to make the decision who you want to marry and our government have not right to tell you who you can and who you can't marry. My opinion.

Let's get the heterosexuals to fix their marriages, before we go on to bitching about homosexual marriages.

Oh, wait, that's never going to happen.

As for my opinion? I really couldn't give a flying rat's ass, as long as they leave me alone. It's between them and God.

I agree 100% with Wealthmadehealthy. Same sex marriage is not Biblical. God created man then created woman as a helpmate for man. If He intended for people of the same sex to be together He would have set it up that way.

Your opinion is correct. The Bible states that marriage is between a man and a woman and that is is an abomination any other way. I have been greatly distressed over the way society has deemed to changed the act of marriage. And sadly, I feel this is only a part of why things are the way they are in this age. To go against what is Written is only to further our demise .... Of course this is only my opinion and I am only a grain of sand in the sea of life.

If this comment would offend anyone, I could clearly say that he/she would not be a believer in the Word of God.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It is not up to me to tell people how to live and how to love. The fact that two people of the same sex choose to marry has no bearing whatsoever on my life...

I don't understand why any one person cares who anyone else "marries" . What business is it of mine who someone else chooses to spend their life with or how??

Marriages tend to create social stability. Why wouldn't we want more of that? Why wouldn't we want more families? Why wouldn't we want more of two people who love each other committing to a life together??

For anyone who wants to toss the bible at this subject, I would like to suggest that the bible also says not to judge. "Yea who is without sin throw the first stone." If it's a sin - God will judge it. However, I can't imagine a "loving" god condemning family, commitment, or any kind of loving union.

Personally, i feel as though the pursuit of happiness is key in life. In most religions, same sex marriage is considered a sin. At the same time, I don't feel like its my place, or anyone else's to judge. Although i don't quite agree with the idea, i don't feel the need to get involved.

Everyone should be able to live their life as they choose. It shouldn't be up to the government to define peoples morals. How does it affect you or me if gay couples get married? The truth is it doesn't. Whether they do or they don't it really won't change anything that is currently happening.

The original purpose of marriage was to ensure that procreation of the human species would continue in a manner equally congruent with our nature to bond with each other in a spirit-mind-body relationship. While conjugation outside of marital vows is an unfortunate fact of nearly every society, it too has the possibility of human procreation, and therefore benefits the viability of our species--if lacking a moral standard more common to higher standards. Homosexual relationships do not meet that one fundamental fact of the marital purpose--procreation. Logically, just on that basis, same-sex marriage is a devolution of certain portions of our species, and is unviable. Apparently humans are the only species that seems to protect the unviable, thereby perpetuating unfavorable traits. Can two people of the same gender love one another? Soul to soul, sure. But why is the socio-political agenda of creating a new and redundant class of people, who already have "rights" like the rest of us, so damned necessary? If you want to put your parts where they were never intended nor designed to go, that's your business, and suffer the consequnces of your gross choices. Do not put upon me your presumption to some made-up "right" you think you're entitled to, and then criticize me for opposing your anathema agenda to my freedom and my resources. That's just my free opinion, of course. :)

Never mind my opinion for my 'opinion' is not worth diddly squat. Here is what matters - The Truth:

Romans 1:24 (KJV) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Romans 1:26-27 (KJV) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Also be warned that the sin of condoning this vile perversion is worse than the sins of those involved.
