How do you manage your time home schooling your children?

I am also home schooling my eldest child but it seems like I'm out of track what with my time almost in hubpages and dealing with chores. Can you hub about this? I'm feeling guilty now because I have difficulty finding time to help my child learn her lessons.

I have seven children, aged from 14 years down to 14 months. I homeschool them all. It takes discipline on your part, to make sure you don't spend too much time on the computer, or phone, or any other activity that will steal your time if you let it. The best way I have found is to set aside a specific time (for us it is all morning), when you do schoolwork. Being available to help your children with set work, actively teaching something, reading to them or hearing them read is essential. You also need to set aside some time in the day to get done the other things you must do (like housework), and also part of the day to do your leisure activities. My children all help with household chores. If they didn't, I would not have time to spend all morning teaching. I will try to make a hub from this topic sometime (when I have more time!!) In a nutshell, make yourself a routine that you feel happy about, and stick to it. Remember that investing in your child is the most important thing you can be doing.
