\\computername The network location cannot be Reached.
i was getting "Generic Host Process For Win32 .." but as per ur instruction s, i did that bit now i am getting abovesaid error. i cant access any shared system as well as no one can access mine. plz help me...

Well you want to make sure your actually on the workgroup or domain first
goto my network places, and then click view workgroup computers on the left hand side.
Here you will see a list of computers in your workgroup, otherwise click the workgroup name and search through it.

This can also be caused by incorrect IP address configuration. To test that you IP address is setup correctly, you can attempt to connect to the remote computer name using the IP address. For example if you are trying to connect to \\SERVER1 and you know that SERVER1 has an IP address of 192.168.1.254 then you can type \\192.168.1.254. If you are able to connect using this method, then the problem is probably an incorrect IP address for the DNS server. I hope this helps..
