Numerous bottle water company's use the local municipal water supply, with no further filtration. Unless you live in an area where the water is tainted, or purification systems are underdeveloped, tap water is just as good as bottled.

There is more sodium in tap water than most bottled waters, but since both are minimal, it doesn't really present a problem unless you are on a low sodium diet. If you are, make sure you know how much you are getting and count this in your overall intake.

It tastes a lot better than the tap water here, and I'm not a fan of little weird floating specs in my water.

Bottled water all the way.

Bottled water definitely has its adventages if tap water in your area has not met the standard quality for drinking. There are two choices which will give you clean and safe water to drink at home :

1. Buy bottled water

2. Buy a water filter or set up water filtration system for a long term investment which will be cheaper and produce the same result as purified bottled water.

I'm sure that there are some good brands in the market but you have to do a little research for it. ( the company which do not use tap water to fill the bottle, or any other harmful chemicals) Bottled water can also give you many choices such as mineral water, spring water, etc.. however you like it.

I've heard that studies have shown that bottled water is pretty much the same as tap water. However, because my landlord uses WAY too much salt for soft water, I find that I prefer the taste of bottle spring water.

With the poison of fluoride now being added to mains water supplies it is imperative that we source our drinking water elsewhere, even if it means having your own bore hole in your back garden.

Bottled water does not contain fluoride only natural minerals.

Tap water is also heavily chlorinated.

I think it is. It may come from a similar source but it is heavily filtered and for me it tastes better.
