There are very few loyal presidents that ever deserve that respect.They have to earn it.It's not easily given,if it's not deserved.People who think all presidents deserve our respect should remember the things many of our past presidents have done in their name to the japanese,the American Indian,the black slaves.

Woodrow Wilson signed the law that made the Federal Reserve the controllers of our money supply.They have the government printing office print up the money ,or they write checks and give the government a checkbook with so much credit ,when there is no money to back it up.YOU AND i AND OUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT,AND TO MAKE IT WORSE THEY CHARGE INTEREST ON IT,AND IT WASN'T EVEN THEIRS.

iN my mind Kennedy and many of the founding fathers,like washington ,Thomas Jefferson,Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln,are about the only presidents I personally have a lot of respect for.

President Obama constantly goes against most of the platform he had run on! Abortion, first he was against it, now he is all for the bill that makes a Doctor perform an abortion even if he is totally against it! He said he was against the government controlling public business yet guess who is controlling GM and His Health care reform bill is a total nightmare! He say's he isn't doing anything new, look after all the government has always controlled Medicare! Yea, and look at the mess it is in! Anyway, I don't want to spend all night complaining! You get the Gist!

I can respect the Presidency and the position of such as Commander in Chief. However, I do not have to respect the policies, beliefs or stance of Obama.

If you feel he should be stood up for, do so in writing. Come up with strong, positive statements that can't be argued against. Maybe then people will begin to change their minds.

Until then, I will continue to base my belief on facts. The facts prove that Obama has gone against his own word. Making a stand for policy and inacting policy are two different things.

Oh, and by the way - standing up for what we believe in is not 'whinning'. It is using our freedom of speech as an American. And, yes I am a proud Republican American!

I am not sure that he is communist although some of his ties are very questionable! I do not believe that his policies are good for this country either! I realize that I am not the only person in this country, and there are several different views. We are in a majority rules nation and the majority has spoken. His ratings have dropped even in his own party. As for as standing up for our leader, I gave him benefit of doubt after against my vote he was elected and I see nothing he has done, but put us down to other countries. If you want to label us as knuckledraggers and whatever else just because we exercise our freedom of speech that is fine. If upholding the constitution makes me and others like me unamerican then I guess I am unamerican. Tell me what are those who do not support the constitution? Also check your records he does support gay marriage and the killing of innocent children. Who has most of his funding came from when he ran for office? ACORN such a credible group. Maybe we should resort to more debate and facts and less name calling. We all have an opnion or do we?

I hate to say this, but I don't think you'll find much in the way of Obama supporters here. I happen to agree with you, but most of the people her seem to be Obama-haters.
