Is there such a thing as an honest mechanic shop?
I pose this question to those like me who have some mechanical knowledge on thier own. To those of you who don't well how would you know if you got ripped off?

you pretty much know if you have been ripped off, by performance regarding whatever was fixed. Being an independant Carsaleswoman I have tried a few different mechanics and I always go to them when I have the free time to watch their every move, as they do whatever replacement or repair. WHo is going to be threatened by a pair of extra eyes? Unless you are up to no good! Beat it you bum......... I'd say....I have found a mechanic that I have trust in plus he is very accomodating....ciao

I was a mechanic for almost 15 years,it is quite a sensitive question.Almost all mechanic are quite honest only the car user do not have knowledge about mechanical engineering.
