You could, but if you are looking for efficiency, fuggedaboudit. You want to pay $3, $6, $9 + PER HOUR (gasoline costs) to run your TV? Perhaps for a few hours emergency only. Try another idea.

Your car engine runs your car mechanically not electrically.Your Battery runs the electrical current needed to run your car.A Battery Charger attached to your car engine charges your car battery. That is only 12 Volts direct current or DC current. You need 110 Volts with alternate current or AC current. So you can't.You need a Engine with a alternator to convert DC to AC current.
Keep the Car or alternatively ship it to Bangalore and I will send you a Generator. .

I would think so but why would you want to do that? The only thing I could think of is in case of emergency if you set it up ahead of time when needed. I do know that diesel generators exist and have seen them.
This is over my head.

Simply put yes. Your car is a generator but not electronically rigged to interface with your residential electrical needs.

Try searching smart garages. The future is in our own hands we are just suppressed from the knowledge. But it doesn't matter compared to the suffering.
