In my opinion, no, I think it was the 'heavy baggage" she carried as in Bill Clinton's presidency, scandals, etc. She was not as good a campaigner either compared to Obama ... his campaign overall was much better. I think she's great as a Secretary of State, she is where she needed to be I guess ... since the communist party didn't win ...

Hillary simply had no charisma. Much of her support was merely due to that fact that whenever people hear "Clinton" they think of sex and a good economy.

I don't think gender had much to do with it. In my opinion, she was thrown overboard by her own party because to them Barry is like the pied piper, and they loved the thought of a "president of color" more than they loved the thought of a woman in the role. If Hillary had been black, this could be an entirely different story.

IMO, she was unsuccessful because she didn't run nearly as good a campaign as Obama did.
