Have you ever played with a Ouija board? And what was your experience of it?

I can honestly say I have not, and never plan to, touch a Ouija board. I've heard WAY too many bad stories about people's experiences with 'em. While it's probably all superstition, I still refuse to ever use one. I don't want something bad to happen to me; no way, no how.

But, if you have used/plan to use one, let me know what happens, k? Natural curiousity and whatnot.

I have used a Ouija board many times over the years, communicating with a soft-spoken spirit who calls himself Dan. Dan offered information both mundane and (for lack of a better term) cosmic, and the insights were often remarkable. Only once did I consider the experience negative, and it seemed to be someone or something pretending to be Dan. I haven't used a Ouija board for some time, but I did use it safely and with positive results. (I should blog about these experiences...)

I tried using one once.

Nothing happened to me but my cousin had alot of hardships after we both used it. It's like he took all the brunt of the curse from it.

I think it didn't work for me because of my faith beliefs didn't allow me to be hurt by it.

As a kid we used one for fun and after a disturbing incident on one occasion and the fact that often times when it was used the board would spell profanities after it made you feel comfortable- I quit.

I now know that it they are dangerous and risky because inexperienced people use them and theres no way of knowing what your summoning. Its like leaving the key to your front door on the porch with a neon sign on it overnight, no way to know what wanders by.

I have always wanted to try a Ouiga board, but have been warned that it is a very dangerous way to contact the other side. You must be trained to handle a Ouiga board, and must follow many precautions before using one, or at least, that's what I've been told.

First and foremost ouija boards are not like monopoly. They are not a toy. Think of it as your telephone to the dead.

Secondly with good comes bad, you don't open a window to let the sun in but cast out the icy wind. So caution is always necessary.

I have USED an ouija board. I was looking to contact a family member to say goodbye as I hadn't had the opportunity. What was let in was not my family member. It was someone else pretending to be them. what was contacted was quite mischevious. Not horrifying but mischevious. would do things like move keys and knock on the walls. Pull sheets off that kind of thing. So I called a medium to set the poor thing free and into its own world where it belonged. Not frightening but there have been worse things happen.

If you are thinking of using an ouija board make sure you are one of at least five. create a circle of salt around you and begin by saying I mean you no malice and would like to speak to you.

Again they are NOT for play the are serious instruments and you must approach them with care. Say hi to them for me!

I have used a Ouija board, and I have to say, it's really nothing of which to be frightened. As long as you take all of the necessary precautions (do your research, know who you're trying to contact, cast a circle, close the circle when you're finished), you won't have anything to worry about, and you may make a new friend with whoever it is you contact. A lot of people who have had bad luck with Ouija boards simply didn't take them seriously, or may have played around in a way that upset the spirits. Don't do or say anything offensive. If you wouldn't do it or say it to your mother, don't do it or say it to the dead.
