Michelle, I am not sure of your question. Are you worried because you are out of work and can't find an immediate job opening? Or, are you stressed and worried because you resigned your old job. If you are worried about not finding work, I can sympathize with your situation; I've been there before. I know how the stress can get you down, and the worry can make you almost feel sick at times. But, this is an opportunity for you to make a positive difference in your life.

Worry can be debilitating if you let it get to you. The way I like to deal with things, is by looking at the worst case scenario first, and then work my way back from there. Second, I would occupy a large portion of my time by staying busy. Keep yourself busy with lots of positive activities, as well as, seeking new employment. You may have luck finding meet-up groups on Google Groups or other social networking sites that are specifically for unemployed job seekers. Networking is one of the best ways to find employment. Also, engaging in group activities like yoga, or group exercise classes are great for loosing stress, and it's also great for networking. Just don't be shy to tell those around you that you are looking for work and what types of jobs you're qualified for.

Start your own home based business. Become your own boss. If you want to keep looking for a job that's fine, but atleast you have a back up plan. There's a certain confidence that being your own boss gives you. If you can be productive at it it will spill over into other areas of your life. The job market will come along maybe the end of this year maybe 2 years why not position yourself not to care. Here's some good reading for you if you want to look into some opportunities. http://shuntezwood.com/officalblog

Hi Michelle,

In that type of environment, there is no way for you to be a productive employee. Take this time to figure out your passions and what you want to do as a profession, and maybe apply for an internship. Although most of them don't pay, it makes you realize what you like and don't like doing. Hope this helps!
