Is God ignoring the 6th commandment with all his smiting?

I am blogging my view at: http://hubpages.com/hub/Is-God-ignorig-the-6th-commandment-with-all-his-smiting Feel free to comment, but please don't copy the entire bible in there, I have my free copy from the Berlin Hilton

The Ten Commandments I learned include the Sixth Commandment as, "Thou shalt not commit adultery" - so, no.

Lisa, I am humbled by your pointing out my mistake, obviously you did not read my blog on the matter.. to set the record straight, as with all doctrine claiming to be the only "Truth" I took the top 4 and averaged them:

Thou shalt not kill/ murder:

Jewish (Talmudic): 6

Orthodox: 6

Anglican, Reformed Christian: 6

Catholic, Lutheran: 5

Of course having thousands of saints, the Catholics could not really include: "You shall have no other gods before me" or making of idols, so that accounts for the mismatch. Thanks fo strengthening my argument though }:->

Just as in politics, rules are created by the rulers for the sheep, not for the rulers (or "god") to follow.

BTW, the bible is right about one thing, most people are stupid sheep. They deserve the effing they get by their shepherds, real or imagined.

No he is not ignoring it ....WE ARE...... Kill/ Murder started by man, and God prefers to preserve man, but man prefers to ignore Gods preservation. So God has to destroy those that ignore it, because he is God and his preservation is first, its His law and His choice. "He who kills with the sword him will i also destroy", the extension to the 6th Commandment. To live you must die, the echo of the bible.
