I can't answer as a writer. But as a reader, it seems that many authors find it more difficult to finish a novel. Too many start well, get worse as they proceed, and fall apart at the conclusion. It is dependant on the skills a writer has, some start out great and end badly, and oher start slow and end with a bang, personally it's actually what comes after teh end of a novel that is the most challenging.

Writing Novels: Starting Off vs Finishing Off
Writing a novel is not an easy thing to do. If one asks an author which is the more difficult part to write: the beginning or the end, the answer would pretty much depend on the story itself and how it has... keep reading →
