Is there such a thing as' invisible subscription' from a website?

I subscribed to a service called Dropbox because moving photos presented a problem and I felt that what they offered would help. I signed up for $4.95 a month then found it was no help. I tried to unsubscribe but Dropbox is not on my add/remove list. The icon appears on the toolbar/taskbar with the time. At least it was there; then it disappeared, reappears etc. I tried to sign into the website but that is a stressful situation of running around in circles. Do I just inform my bank to stop giving them free money? I never used their service because of the frustration. I am considering a hub.

If they are doing it's illegal. They can instill cookies in your browser and some sites have ad-ware that goes in without knowing...
