The phrase "going green" usually means doing something more environmentally friendly or acquire something which is not so damaging to the planet, a hybrid car for example, or energy saving light bolts etc... Companies and factories are "going green"
when they develop a new method for their products or just start using recyclable materials. You can say that "going green" means going environmentally friendly
Or it could just mean that someone is going through a "green phase" for colors (clothes, car, walls etc.. ) :D

Going green refers to a rather futile effort to "save the planet" by being "environmentally friendly." Some of these efforts might pay off if more people actually did them but even those who say they do can't be green all the time. Then there's those idiots who buy a smart car in an attempt to "go green." Well that's great, electricity is totally cleaner than burning fossil fuel...except that coal is used to create electricity in most power plants in the US. Nice job asshole, you just jacked up your electricity bill and burned some fossil fuel.
If one really has the inclination to "go green" then he/she should rip their clothes off and go live in the woods. That is the only way to prevent the creation of unnatural waste.

Going green means just doing simply anything that trys to help the environment in some way. Now I know most of those guys that answered say its impossible. They're all pecimists. Its possible if all the leaders of the world work together to change things, to make them environmentally safe. This is a long shot but it could happen. Always think positively lol.

It means that someone gullible has fallen prey to the view that by switching to cloth bags instead of plastic, getting a doofusmobile instead of a real car, etc., that she is going to "save the planet".
The planet will do fine, it is the humans that are going to wipe themselves out by uncontrolled spawning of countless litters of resource consumers.
Say you reduce your "carbon footprint" by 10%. Then, because of religious wackos, sniveling liberals, and militant "la razas" and jihadists, the population increases 10%.
Are you better off? No, both your lifestyle and quality of life has decreased,
"Whatever your cause, it is a lost cause without population (and immigration) control."
