internet business is like the wild west. Let the buyer beware. Shouldn't it stay that way?
There is very little one can do when cheated by business on the internet. but who wants control when profits are so great for companies, especially the big ones. Banks and mortgage companies are going back to business as usual. It's the American way.

Granted there is no way to answer this question correctly, but I think that while the online world can be hit and miss as far as safety goes a little common sense would solve half or more of the problems with people losing money online i.e. take the Nigerian scam, if you fall for something like that you probably deserved to be scammed...okay nobody deserves to be scammed but it was still your own fault...the old saying if its too good to be true...
