A rough, conservative estimate is about $125.00 a month (in the Northeast) if you keep your horse at home. This expense can be much, much more depending on where you live.
Also keep in mind that some months you may only pay $90.00 and other months you could pay $500.00 depending on what your horse needs. The $125.00 is an average divided over 12 months.
And there are always unexpected expenses, supplements, tack, tools etc...
