Hello Turnkey;
Unless you got something so revolutionary and life-altering, having just a prototype isn't going to get the ball rolling. No investor will give you any money without having some concrete sales figures in your pocket first.
Of course you could fund the entire project yourself, skip the investor all together and make a deal with a manufacturer to mass produce and bring it to retail. It will cost you a pretty penny and you best know exactly what you're doing.
Don't really know what exactly your ideas in your head are but the above is a basic guideline to get any prototype funded, manufactured and introduced to the masses.
