How do i get my girlfriend to say NO?
My girlfriend has a problem with saying NO to people. Specifically to people who ask her to go party with them. She knows that she does not want to go drink with these people and has straight up told me that she has a problem with saying NO to them. She says that she always says yes because she does not want to make them mad or hate her. I have tried to tell her that although there are time when you need to make people happy, if you truly DON'T want to do something, then stand up for yourself and say so or just make up something. Suggestions/tips on helping her?(NO FUCKIN DICKHEAD ANSWERS PLZ)

You cannot control her. She has to learn from her own mistakes. And it sounds like she probably WANTS to party, because all she has to say to people she doesn't want to hang with is that her boyfriend isn't okay with it, or she has to spend time with you, etc. The notion that she just doesn't want to anger them at her is BS, if you ask me.

I was one of those people who could NOT say no when my friends asked me to go out. I didnt want to hear about it later on and it just seemed that if i said 'sure" to going out id keep it from making waves. The problem was that i would be annoyed at myself for saying yes and then annoyed with them for making me go out in the first place. My advice is for her to start the way I did. Whenever i didnt want to go somewhere i'd make up an excuse for why I couldnt go (sick, other plans etc.) Then when i felt more comfortable in just being honest I was because i had already had practice saying no in other forms.

advisor4qb: I really am not trying to control her at all. She confronted me about it and i just wanted some way to help is all. I understand where your coming from, but its something that she actually wants to do. I havent tried to make her do anything she doesn't to do. we've been together for almost two years so i just want to see her content is all
