Saving money is a different question then "not spending money"... Here are my top 10 for "Saving Money".

1. ALWAYS look at what you already own FIRST

2. know what's important to your family and prioritize

3. understand the difference between needs, wants & impulse

4. use up those things that your "saving" (the samples, bottle of wine, gourmet treats)

5. have a go-to signature dish for entertaining, potlucks or bring to a friend (homemade cookies/fudge/brownies cost less & taste better then flowers that die in a few days)

6. meal plan, look at what you have in the fridge, then freezer, last pantry, try not to throw away food, have a "use it or lose it" night, weekly

7. bring/pack lunch (make lunch containers from dinner leftovers & freeze eventually you'll have a nice variety)

8. simplify your household's style, then stock up when you see it on clearance (solid color wrapping paper & paper goods)

9. think creatively, repurpose items, regift

10. Prevent Clutter: use the library, look things up on-line, think "rental" (i-tunes/netflix), ask about buy-out option for school fundraisers (most are 50%)
