India should produce more arms & amunitions to become a superpower in the world?

More arms and ammunitions may not make a country superpower unless the country has Super weapons such as nuclear war heads besides economic status of the country. Japan was destroyed to ashes but now again became a world power if not a super power. Therefore economic development is not less important than the war materials although both are required essential for a country.

World war three coming right up!

India would likely want to produce arms for sale to other less powerful countries just as the other super powers east and west have been doing. War is a money making business and if there were no war there would be no more money for that business.The other reason is war destroys populations,and some groups want to reduce the worlds population. 1-1 = 0 End of the world as we know it.What good is money,if there is nowhere to spend it?

India should be able to protect itself,just as any other country should be able to do.No country should be defenseless.I recall though that Dr Gandi did well without the kind of weapons you speak of.Look at the rest of the so called civilized world.There are many weapons and not enough civilization

Rome was a superpower more than 2000 years ago

Briton was and still is a superpower alongside the the unitedstates .Some say it and Israel are the real power in the west since they seem to have control over the unitedstates.Russia is still a superpower.I was born and live in the states so I should know by now what the score is.

of course we should develop our own weapons to be a super power rather than buying them from outside. The politicians like to buy from outside as they get a fair amount out of it.

Look at china, how they are improving in the field of weapon development. They recently sold it fighter plane to Pakistan. That shows the power.
