I think the overall symptoms will be the same for both men and women.
Weakened immunity
Susceptibility to any infectious disease
increased chance to become anaemic
thinning of body
weight loss
Intermittent fevers
Occasional body pain

aj's is correct in their response. With women, there is an additional risk where, if pregnant, they have a higher chance of miscarriage and death. Not necessarily a symptom, but still something to be aware of.
