Is a hair drier harmful to the growth of hairs?

Hot air is considered harmful not only to the hairs but long exposure to other parts of the body. Young generation use hair driers extensively. Does it have harmful effect on hairs in long run?

The heat from Hairdryers dries out hair, it doesn't actually affect the growth of it (from the roots), but can affect the 'ends' because it can split them, it's very drying on the hair. My Hair Dresser tells me she is seeing young girls come to the salon, even around 12years old with badly damaged and split hair, but not from the Hairdryer, from the new trend of using Straigtening Irons so much.

Yes. Anything that is not done in moderation has a negative result.

Hairdryers used for a limited time is good. If it is done for long time , it will kill the hair cells.
