Is there financial help for people suffering from severe depression whose needs force unheathy work?

Specifics: Live in the middle of no where. Not afraid to work but in order to pay bills you have to work approx 80 hrs a week in high stress work environments. This creates a peak in the disorder followed by a crash followed by a couple months no work followed by increased debt followed by increased need in money- you get the picture. After a two year search- less stressfull job and less hours not happening. Even the stressful jobs difficult to find these days. Not eliminating work- but what options available to limit the negs of financial need leading to the crashs that force no work.

Have you tried applying for social security disability? If you have a mental illness that prevents you from working a lot or at all, you may qualify for SSDI. Your doctor will have to fill out forms for you that you go to your local SSI office and request. Just follow the instructions and return the form. It takes up to 6 months to get an interview and start the process, but it may be worth it for you. Good luck!
