And who defined it as between man and woman? The word marriage traces back to the Latin maritus, "lover" so one theory is that the usage of the word was to honor the love between two people. Why can't people just let this go? Let them live their lives, its not hurting straight couples. Garriage is something that straight people came up with so as not to feel threatened.
