Does Bank of America Sell Client's Debt to Collection Companies or do they handle their own
My boyfriend decided to stop paying his bank of America Credit Cards. He is telling me he rather deal with collection companies than the bank itself. I was wondering if Bank of America is the type of Bank that sells their client's debts to collection agencies or do they handle their own collections???

Unlike a lot of companies, Bank of America holds their collections accounts for awhile before turning them over to a third party. I can't think why he would rather deal with a collection agent than the bank, every time the debt changes hands his credit report is going to take a hit. And each company is going to be a little less flexible in getting its money.
