What type of spiritual path do you follow? Describe it in your own words.
According to SBNR.org, a recent poll suggests that of the one in five Americans who see themselves as “spiritual but not religious,” forty-seven percent view religion negatively. This 2005 Beliefnet and Newsweek 2005 give a sense of the American landscape in relation to spirituality and religion. The most recent Newsweek poll has just been released (April 2009) and shows that 30% of Americans now describe themselves as SBNR.

I'm a bit like those 30% of all Americans: a bit distrustful of churches, but still spiritual. In my case though, I've still decided to join a spiritual organization: the Theosophical Society http://hubpages.com/hub/Theosophy-ts
In this spiritual path the focus isn't on fighting for your version of truth, but on finding your way to truth, in full awareness of the limitations of our present perspective. In other words: keeping an open mind and heart and learning from those you meet.
