Lisa HW says
Within the last couple of years a news program featured a doctor, specializing in Autism, who screened babies at around one year of age. Babies who had previously shown no signs of Autism had begun to show signs, with those signs being they did not respond when their mother or other person tried to get their attention, and they did not make the same kind of eye contact that babies without Autism make.
The aim of this doctor was to screen for Autism early enough to begin a therapy program; because the earlier the condition is detected and addressed, the higher the chances of successfully helping the child.
