What are the best wines to go with main courses (Beef, Duck, Chicken, Pork)?
I love my food and I also love my wine - but I always seem to buy the wrong bottle of wine for my main course - what suggestions do you have to accompany main courses such as Beef, Duck, Chicken and Pork?

Greetings! I write on the topic of biodynamic wines for cork'd and the Organic Wine Journal, and work @ www.coolvines.com in Westfield... so.... this is pretty easy for me...
follow your palate.. I always ask what the preparation is first, spicy? Sweet? Roasted? Grilled?
Then. follow your own personal palate.
For Beef, especially if it is grilled, it screams Syrah! the smoky component to the grill brings out the toasted flavors of the grape.
For Duck? A fat red ZINFANDEL... oily seductive and oozing with flavor. (like duck!)
For Chicken, depending on the preparation, I say Pinot Noir or in a pinch a GRU-VEE..
For Pork? well that's also easy... I like DRY (Trocken) Riesling with pork... ok?
