you know what there was a time would i would have said no to this question..... but for the sake of the unborn child that has no say in the matter i find myself thinking yes...

A friend of mine works with young girls, most of them are drug addicts or have been, they are very young girls, and one comment she made to me one day tearfully was;

Animals care for their young better, it is so sad, they will continue to sleep around and give birth but the babies, do not stand a chance.

In an ideal world we would educate our young girls at home, and make a decision with them privately, maybe there is no yes or no answer to this....... do the unborn children have any voice though, unfortunately i suppose not..

Good thought provoking question...... I myself was actually married at 17 and had my first child at 18 so what can i say, he is now grown and a teacher, and his dad and i are still together. Lot's of people did not think our relationship would last, so i suppose every case is different.

Yes it should be available to Teen Girls of legal consenting age. Of course it's best to educate your Teenager about sex and using Condoms for the prevention of diseases too, but we're talking about 'teens' here so the Pill can add even more protection against teen pregnancy.

Some teen girls can benefit from using the pill. If the teen is sexually active, she should be on the pill or using some sort of birth control method. Though I would look at other options of birth control before deciding on a hormone therapy that could cause other medical conditions.

Some teen girls are prescribed the pill to help regulate their menstrual cycle.

Given that most teens are becoming sexually active these days, I agree that some form of contraception must be used. I do however feel that the pill is something to be avoided. Teens are still growing and as Kathy said, the hormones will have bigger effects on a growing woman.
