What are some fun and different places to go to when catching up with a close friend?
I mean, apart from the usual dinner and movie.

Mini-golf can be fun and interesting. If it is sort of a date, then many women have probably not been on this type of date. Bowling can be another option, but it is not as fun for some people. I think movies are horrible for catching up since you can't talk, and if you talk during movies I hope you don't go to the ones that I am :-)
