How kids in the 80s and 90s had it different than the kids of the 60s and 70s

The kids in the 60's and to a lesser extent the 70's were living under the lingering fear of communism and nuclear war, which the kids of the 80's and 90's didn't. The sixties of course also saw the rise of a drug culture that kids in the later years took for granted.

The music was better in the 60's too. Won't say that was the case for the 70's. :)

Kids in the 60s and 70s respected their parents, the girls weren't allowed to wear pants to school, there was church in the school. Most importantly they saluted the american flag at school. Most kids walked to school.

Kids in the 80s and 90s had video games to play, watched more TV, had VCR's. The took a bus to school. Did not get hit on the hand with a ruler by the teacher.
