that's up to the guy, but realistically speaking I cant see how he could. Especially if he is not able to share as well as express his feelings with this individual. well, it would be better for a man to stop being close to that girl if after expressing the feelings to her she was just steady and still getting the opportunity to get something from the guy, better leave her. I know someone, it took more than a year before the guy knew that it cant be possible to have her as his GF knowing from the past that he had a chance because of the sweet acts of that girl, meaning if she meant it too bad but if not it is sad for the guy because one must know immediately if someone has a feelings for you and you should have imply the message if you really wanted to be friend with that person. he deserves to know it so if that is the case, better close the topic and set your feelings free.
