An Executive Assistant carries out the same duties as an Office Assistant or Secretary - it's just a Posh Title.

Duties would include:

Being a PA/Secretary

Making Travel arrangements

Booking meetings - taking minutes

preparing presentations e.g powerpoint

answering phone/taking messages

making tea or arranging refreshments for meetgs

Managing the Boss' diary

and other adhoc duties depending on the nature of the business.

Hey Julie-Ann!

Well Lady_E has basically summed it all up. I will go into a little depth because my position is a little more complicated as I work for a Division Director whom has roughly 20 people in his division. I am responsible for helping them with things like:

Paperwork (admin)

Questions

Head Office Issues

Compliance

Etc.

Also because I work for a Investing Firm I am responsible things like completing redemptions/contributions for clients as per instructed, keeping VERY compliant notes and many other things.

I really do enjoy my Job but it can be stressful at times :)

I would like to say that an Executive Assistant is completely different from a Secretary as an Executive Assistant works for an officer of a company and has many more responsibilities :)
